Galloway Retreats is tucked away on our family farm above Port William, where peaceful surroundings feel a world away, yet we're within easy reach of Scotland's major road networks and ferry ports. Here's the easiest way to find us, however you're travelling.
By Car
Around 2½ hours from Glasgow or Edinburgh via the A77 and A75, and around 40 minutes from the ferry ports at Cairnryan. Follow signs for Newton Stewart, then Port William.
By Rail
The nearest stations are Barrhill (around 45 minutes) and Stranraer (around 35 minutes), both on the Glasgow line. Mainline services connect through Glasgow Central for onward travel across the UK.
By Air
Glasgow Prestwick is the closest airport at around 1¼ hours away, while Glasgow and Edinburgh airports are both approximately 2½ hours by car. Belfast is also within easy reach via the ferry from Cairnryan.
